I thought of this blog last weekend when I was at Whole Foods in Napa where a Pumpkin Smackdown was being held. Each department was making something pumpkin. It was fantastic. I samples pumpkin truffles, pumpkin smoothies, pork-pumpkin stew, pumpkin salmon spread, pumpkin bread, pumpkin soup, and so much more. There were some that were just "Eh," while others, like the pumpkin truffles, the smoothies, and the stew were fantastic. Really pumpkiny with great complimentary flavors. I never thought dark chocolate and pumpkin would go so well together. Mmmmm! Anyway, thought you might enjoy hearing about that. Both No on 4 and No on 8 have my support big time.
